In two weeks’ time, Phillips will be hosting its ninth-edition watch sale, entitled The New York Watch Auction: NINE. The lineup spotlights important references from prestigious Maisons, and independent watchmakers, to rare, innovative timepieces.

Leading the auction is the luxury replica Patek Philippe Ref. 1518 in Pink Gold from circa 1950, which is estimated to fetch between $1,200,000 – $2,400,000 USD. Exceptionally well-preserved and hardly ever worn, this particular example of the Ref. 1518 is also rather rare for its kind — as most iterations of the model featured yellow gold cases.
